Two wheelers are Brain Torture

Hello all!
I'm a newcomer to the group but I have been riding for quite a while
now. (5 years...I have two unicons under my belt!)
One of my friends got himself a two wheeler (that is two wheels one
above the other for those who have never seen one) and we're having the
worst time in the world learning. it's like you have to un-learn
everything and re-do everything the opposite way.
I remember seeing Andy and Constance cotter riding at the Unicons,

So: I'm basically hoping for someone like them to give me some tips for
learning, because it's getting frustrating.
