I had the exact same problem with my semcycle XL. Except I'd only get about
1/4 mile each time! I took it to a bike shop and they put "locktite" on it
and it's worked fine ever since. They didn't pound the cranks down or
anything like that either -- just locktite and then screwed the bolts on with
a little tool.
